Hello and welcome to our Shelter Donations instructional page.
My name is Austin Rand. I am editor and marketing director of a small publishing house, Quickfind Books, operating from Tucson AZ and Vancouver BC Canada.
The Offer
We would like to provide you with a new, ongoing source of donations to your shelter. We propose to do this by asking you to place an ad for our petcare books on your shelter’s website. Any visitors to your site who then decide to click on our ad and buy one or more of our books would generate a donation of $1.00 per book paid to your shelter. Other than setting up our ad on your site, there is no work requirement or time requirement from you. Once the ad is set up, money is earned by you from your visitors. Their purchases are recorded in a way that you can review and we send you the money each month.
The Background
We have recently published four pet-care books by an award-winning pet-care writer, Denise Fleck of Los Angeles, CA. Denise is a member of the Dog Writers Association of American and American Cat Writers. Denise’s work has appeared in most of the leading national dog and cat magazines and she has appeared on radio and TV to discuss animal issues and life-saving techniques. Denise is also the President of the Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter. Denise’s pet-care books have been well-reviewed and have been recommended by veterinarians. How Your Shelter Is Paid for Participating
The donation to your shelter is drawn from the price paid for each book purchased by the book-buyer, whether they purchase on the first visit that brought them from your site to our site, or if they come back at another time to make a purchase. Each month, we will send you a payment for the books that have been sold to buyers originating from your shelter’s website. Since your visitors’ interest in pets is matched by the books that we offer, a number of your monthly visitors may choose to buy a book, particularly when they realize that buying a book also helps to support their favorite shelter — yours.
You can inform us whether you prefer to receive your payments by paypal or by check. If the amount is less than $10.00, we will carry it over to the next month, but you can at any time log into the afffiliate-software page on our site and check the amount that is owed to you.
Our Pet-care Books
If you visit our site, you’ll notice that right now we are offering a special on ebooks, which we have just introduced. To get the special price ($3.97 for ebooks), all that the buyer has to do is enter the coupon code (“ebookdeal”) when he or she purchases an ebook. Naturally, if you would like to try out the system and see the quality of the content, you are welcome to be the first purchaser coming from your site. Of the $3.97 purchase price, $1.00 will be credited to your shelter (which you can check right after making the purchase, as long as you have registered your shelter as a participant in the program).
How to get started
1. Go to: www.quickfindbooks.com/partner-login and register in, indicating the name of your shelter and choosing the username and password that you will use for accessing this page of our site, to check the status of donations due to you. It’s quick and easy.
2. On the page www.quickfindbooks.com/banner-selection you will see the ads that are available. The choice that is available is: a small square cat-specific ad, a small square dog-specific ad, a tall vertical dog-specific ad and a wide, low cat-and-dog ad (as seen above on this page). Please note that the ads on the page banner-selection are examples only and do not contain the coding that is needed for the buyer tracking to work so that we can send you your money; for this, you need to first register and then proceed to the the “Ads” section in the registration pages. The ads section shows each ad that is available; the code for that ad is right beside it.
3. After you have registered your shelter and logged in at www.quickfindbooks.com/partner-login, choose the ad that best suits your shelter and then, after you have opened up the admin panel of your site, copy and paste the code into the code of any page of your site. If you prefer, you can set up more than one ad on your site.
